About the Studio
Ugokyo Studio takes its name from the art name (ho) of renowned Korean ceramic master Jongtae Lee. Located in Miryang, South Gyeongsang Province, the studio has been operated by two generations of artists—Jongtae Lee and his son, Buwon Lee.
Specializing in tea ware, Ugokyo is known for its refined forms and striking glazes that balance tradition with quiet innovation. Each piece reflects a deep commitment to harmony in proportion, surface, and spirit—offering functional works of art for modern tea rituals.
